I suggest that we announce a one-year moratorium, for example, on the peace toast in Georgia - how can you drink a peace toast when there is a war in Ukraine? - this is how the chairman of Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, answered the question about the responses to Tbilisi's 2023 slogan - "City of Peace".

According to him, the opposition is actually not annoyed by the slogan, but by the peace in Georgia.

According to Kobakhidze, the desire of the National Movement is war in Georgia, and therefore they are fighting not with a slogan, but with peace in our country.

"It's amazing what we heard yesterday. These people are so comical that when they make you a slogan of peace, even that annoys them. As the cross was annoying them. They hated the church so much that they were annoyed by the cross, and even now these people hate peace so much that they were annoyed by the slogan and inscription. In fact, it is not the inscription and the slogan that annoys them, but peace in our country, because they are the "party of war". They had a direct intention and they have a direct intention, which they cannot hide. They cannot hide that they want war in Georgia. Therefore, they are fighting not against the slogan, but for peace in our country. Of course, they will not be able to achieve this goal. There will be peace in Georgia and Tbilisi will be a city of peace. This is the desire that each of us has, among them for each Tbilisi resident, and we, of course, have the same desire for our Ukrainian friends. Therefore, speculations are absolutely shameful," Kobakhidze said.
