Georgian delegation meets Diaspora representatives in Portugal

Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and members of the Georgian delegation on a visit in Portugal met representatives of the Georgian Diaspora in Lisbon.

 

Government-sponsored programs and strengthening of Diaspora organizations that contribute to the intensification of relations and promotion of the country were talked over at the meeting.

 

“In this case, our approach and that of the Patriarchate is unequivocal. We help young people who were born and grew up here, so that they do not lose their identification with their country,” said Beka Odisharia, Chairman of the Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committee.
