Mikheil Sarjveladze: Obviously, everyone understands that the National Movement is being divided into simple multiples

Obviously, everyone understands that the National Movement is being divided into simple multiples, - the member of the majority, Mikheil Sarjveladze, said while evaluating the recent developments in the National Movement.

As Sarjveladze explained, the opposition in Georgia has experienced a fiasco and they are trying to create a new force.

"Akhalaia's or Merabishvili's group will try to gather some remnants, give some shape to all this and present themselves as the legal successor of the “all-mighty” National Movement. They will try to create such simulations so as not to lose the votes that they may still have in society. This is a matter of real interest. When a party is doomed to fiasco, there are always groups trying to get something useful out of the wreckage. This seems to be the reason why the controversies become visible.

An important factor is related to Kezerashvili's finances. This hunting instinct is awakened in these groups", Sarjveladze noted.

When asked by a journalist of why they are complaining about the chairman of the National Movement, Nika Melia, Sarjveladze replied: "I cannot assess the advantages and disadvantages of the representatives of the National Movement. I cannot praise the era of the National Movement rule, which was led by Nika Melia. I can assume for sure that no one can be better than Nika Melia for the National Movement, that's a fact."
