A 3D printed Georgian wine-maing vessel, a qvevri, has been shortlisted among the finalists of the Future Agro Challenge global championship.
The championship will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on September 7-11. Technology entrepreneur, researcher, developer David Mizandari will represent the Georgian team.
The Future Agro Challenge (FAC) aims to discover innovative fundable food and agribusiness startups from different countries and launch them on new markets.
The large, egg-shaped qvevri is usually buried in the ground or set on the floor (in large cellars). It is used for fermentation, storage and ageing of wine.
