It's in the hands of Georgian stakeholders to make sure that the next Public Defender will be an independent, Pawel Herczynski, EU Ambassador to Georgia, told reporters when asked about the election of the new Public Defender.

 

“This is part of the 12 recommendations and I know that the process is ongoing. That process is ongoing, and it's in the hands of Georgian stakeholders to make sure that the next Public Defender will be an independent”, said the Ambassador.
