We live under the current occupation and against this background the dissemination of incorrect information is nothing more than a provocation, – Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality made this statement.
The State Minister described media reports as if government officials had not arrived in Gugutiankari village as a lie.
According to Tsikhelashvili, using such topics for manipulations is harmful both for the country and for the locals living there. The state Minister called on everybody to treat such issues with great responsibility.
“Our goal is to stop the illegal process of borderization and assist the population. For achieving it we work on a daily basis. As for the August 7 episode, the state structure immediately used all existing mechanisms. The official Tbilisi promptly reacted over the fact of illegal activities and activated a hotline to inform the international community about the installation of additional artificial barriers in proximity to the village. This process was suspended. We live under the current occupation and against this background dissemination of incorrect information is nothing more than a provocation. Using such topics for manipulations is harmful both for the country and for the locals living there. We argue everyone to treat such issues with great responsibility”, – said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the occupational forces resumed the illegal process of installation of artificial barriers near Gugutiantkari village of Gori Municipality on August 7.
