Levan Khabeishvili: 16,480 citizens of Russia already have residence permits in Georgia, the right to stay in Georgia for Russian citizens should be reduced to one month

The United National Movement appeals to the Government of Georgia and the Ministry of Justice with a proposal to impose specific restrictions on citizens of Russia.

As Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the National Movement, said at the briefing, the right to stay in Georgia for Russian citizens should be reduced to one month.

In addition, restrictions should be imposed on obtaining the right of residence, registration of property rights and registration of entrepreneurial activity. Another demand of the National Movement is to oblige the Russian citizens entering Georgia to recognize the Russian occupation and the territorial integrity of Georgia.

"16,480 citizens of Russia already have residence permits in Georgia. In the last 6 months, Russian citizens registered more than 3,200 real estates, which means that they actually bought one micro-district of Varketili or Gldani only in the last 6 months. In 6 months, Russians registered more than 6,000 individual entrepreneurial companies, that is, they have been registered as entrepreneurs in Georgia. This is dangerous for the security of our country, in the conditions when the Georgian Government does not control anything and these citizens are not subject to any restrictions. The Government has no motherland, Bidzina Ivanishvili has no motherland. His main dream is Georgia without Georgians. In these conditions, when 10 thousand Russians get the right to reside in Georgia, our fellow citizens are fleeing this country, sell their real estate, leave their families, their homeland and go to another country to feed their family members. Meanwhile, for the occupiers, who do not even recognize our territorial integrity, absolutely everything is simple and open," said Levan Khabeishvili.
