She does not have a rating, but she is trying to be a politician - her term expires on December 7 and she will finally acquire the status that she informally has even today, Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze said while talking about the Public Defender, Nino Lomjaria.

 

According to him, the Public Defender is directly involved in the political processes.

 

"During the previous xenophobic campaign launched by the National Movement, despite our calls, it took 10 days for Nino Lomjaria to make a statement regarding xenophobia. I remind you that this should be the direct duty of the Public Defender. When a discriminatory campaign, ethnic strife, chauvinism starts, the Public Defender must react to it in the very first seconds. This person is directly involved in the political processes. Moreover, she was directly involved in the campaign, within the framework of which the demand for the Government's resignation was raised. She does not have a rating, but she is trying to be a politician - her term expires on December 7 and she will finally acquire the status that she informally has even today. She is trying to be a politician and she will probably become one in December, I am sure of that," said Kobakhidze.
