The steps taken by us give me the reason to say that we will definitely return the growing dynamic we had in the tourism sector, - Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said, responding to InterPressNews’s question today.

According to the head of government, as of July, the losses in the tourism sector amounted to $ 60 million, but there was a very good trend in June in Adjara, when tourism increased by 40% compared to the same period of the last year.

“It is important today to support small and medium-sized businesses in the tourism sector. We have developed two programs that, I think, will be enough for SMEs working in the tourism sector to tackle the problems we have faced. As for the medium-term perspective, I am confident that we will return the positive dynamics we had in the tourism sector, ” the Prime Minister added.
