Irakli Gharibashvili: We have very cool economic growth, we expect double-digit economic growth in May - we will not allow any destructive force to hinder this process

According to the Minister's preliminary informaton, we expect double-digit economic growth in May - we will have double-digit economic growth in 5 months... We will not allow any destructive force to hinder this process, Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili said at the Government session.

 

As he also noted, double-digit economic growth is unprecedented in Europe.

 

"We have very cool economic growth. According to the Minister's preliminary informaton, we expect double-digit economic growth in May - it turns out that in 5 months we will have double-digit economic growth, which is unprecedented in Europe against the backdrop of world markets crushing, the economy is in recession and against the backdrop of Ukraine war there is a problem everywhere.

 

We also have a record rate of foreign direct investment. Growing tourism, trade, exports, GEL is strengthened. We have positive dynamics in all directions. We will maintain this and continue to work at an even higher pace.

 

We will not allow any destructive force to hinder this process, on the contrary, we will continue to move forward and develop the country. There will be peace, stability and prosperity in the country for our citizens - this is the order of our people, which we will all fulfill together," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
