Georgia belongs to European family, President Metsola states

President of European Parliament Roberta Metsola echoed the meeting with the Georgian Prime Minister in Brussels on Twitter.

 

“Good meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the European Parliament. Georgia belongs to European family. Reforms in the judiciary, the rule of law, media freedom, LGBTIQ+ and human rights remain crucial for the country’s European path. We will remain united in our support to Ukraine,” President Metsola tweeted.

 

“The severe challenges in the Black Sea region and beyond are seen and understood thoroughly in Brussels. We think this context will be decisive in the decision-making process. The European Parliament President Roberta Metsola speaks openly about the common perspective of our countries. The meeting with her stood highly promising,” Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili stated after the meeting with President Metzola in Brussels.
