Senior lawmaker says it is matter of time for national currency to return to its amplitude

It is a matter of time for the GEL to return to its amplitude, - Member of Parliament the parliamentary majority David Matikashvili said responding to the question about the depreciation of the national currency.

 

According to the lawmaker, the National Bank of Georgia takes relevant measures to stabilize the GEL’s exchange rate.

 

“GEL has a floating rate, it is reflected by relevant events. The National Bank and the economic team are implementing the appropriate policy to return GEL to its natural amplitude. This is a factor of time," Matikashvili said.
