Georgia reports 290 new cases of coronavirus, 2 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 24,676 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 22,687 antigen tests and 1,989 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 290 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,654,665.

 

As of April 26, the daily positive rate is 1.18%, for the last 14 days - 1.14% and for 7 days - 1.06%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 80 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,636,188.

 

2 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,802 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 290 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 143 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 4, Imereti - 50, Kvemo Kartli - 14, Shida Kartli - 13, Guria - 20, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 18, Kakheti - 23, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 4, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 0, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 1.

 

The number of active cases amounts to 1,649.
