National Movement proposes to the Parliament to tighten the Law on the Occupied Territories.

 

A draft law will be presented at the April 25 sitting of the Parliamentary Bureau. According to draft, persons who have participated in any way, or still participate in the occupation and military aggression of Georgian and Ukrainian territories, will be barred from entering Georgia and carrying out economic activities.

 

According to the draft, the restrictions established by the Law on the Occupied Territories apply to all individuals and legal entities engaged in the occupation and military aggression of the territories of Georgia and Ukraine, as well as to persons sanctioned by the EU or NATO member states due to carrying out military aggression and occupation in Georgia and Ukraine.

 

According to the draft, all individuals and legal entities that have violated the Law on the Occupied Territories shall be prohibited from engaging in any economic (entrepreneurial or non-entrepreneurial) activity on the territory of Georgia, regardless of whether it is carried out for profit, income or compensation. Also, all types of legal entities operating in Georgia should be prohibited from receiving funding directly or indirectly from all individuals and legal entities that have violated the mentioned law.

 

According to the draft, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have violated the mentioned law will be prohibited from entering Georgia.
