Georgia reports 74 new cases of coronavirus, 1 death

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 4,970 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 3,436 antigen tests and 1,534 PCR tests.

 

The testing revealed 74 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 1,653,118.

 

As of April 17, the daily positive rate is 1.49%, for the last 14 days - 1.44% and for 7 days - 1.21%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 357 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,634,313.

 

1 coronavirus death was reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,793 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 74 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 42 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 5, Imereti - 7, Kvemo Kartli - 0, Shida Kartli - 1, Guria - 4, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 8, Kakheti - 4, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 2, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 1, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 0.

 

The number of active cases amounts to 1,986.
