Georgia reports 266 new cases of coronavirus, 2 deaths

According to information published on Stopcov.ge, within intensive testing, 24,862 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 22,933 antigen tests and 1,929 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 266 newly confirmed cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country to date is 1,652,235.

 

As for the positive rate, as of April 12, the daily positive rate is 1.07%, for the last 14 days - 1.71% and for 7 days - 1.43%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 348 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 1,632,194.

 

There have been 2 new cases of coronavirus death. A total of 16,781 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.

 

Out of 266 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 120 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara - 11, Imereti - 45, Kvemo Kartli - 20, Shida Kartli - 18, Guria - 11, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 15, Kakheti - 11, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 11, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 2, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2.

 

The number of active cases of infection at this stage is 3,234.
