Georgia reports 578 new cases of coronavirus, 3 deaths

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within intensive testing, 24,540 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 22,012 antigen test and 2,528 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 578 newly confirmed cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic is 1,650,008 in the country.

 

As for the positive rate, as of April 4, the daily positive rate is 2.36%, for the last 14 days - 2.61% and for 7 days - 2.11%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 389 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 1,629,032.

 

There have been 3 new deaths from coronavirus. A total of 16,761 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.

 

Out of 578 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 219 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara - 12, Imereti - 80, Kvemo Kartli - 39, Shida Kartli - 28, Guria - 31, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 54, Kakheti - 53, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 23, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 17, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 22.

 

The number of active cases of infection is 4 189 at this stage.
