Georgia reports 407 new cases of coronavirus, 3 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, within intensive testing, 22,788 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 20,485 antigen tests and 2,303 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 407 newly confirmed cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 1,648,653.

 

As for the positive rate, as of April 1, the daily positive rate is 1.79%, for the last 14 days - 3.2% and for 7 days - 2.57%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 1,303 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,626,296.

 

There have been 3 new deaths from coronavirus. A total of 16,748 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.

 

From the 407 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 194 cases were identified in Tbilisi, Adjara - 15, Imereti - 49, Kvemo Kartli - 19, Shida Kartli - 13, Guria - 32, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 32, Kakheti - 28, Mtskheta-Mtianeti-9, Samtskhe-Javakheti-7, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 9.

 

Currently, there are 5,583 active cases of infection in the country.
