Georgia reports 590 new cases of coronavirus, 10 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 20,918 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 18,675 antigen tests and 2,243 PCR tests.

 

Testing revealed 590 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,645,301.

 

As of March 24, the daily positive rate is 2.82%, for the last 14 days - 5.14% and for 7 days - 3.86%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 3,247 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,611,688. 10 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,698 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 590 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 255 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 28, Imereti - 81, Kvemo Kartli - 20, Shida Kartli - 34, Guria - 60, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 46, Kakheti - 39, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 10, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 5, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 12.

 

The number of active cases amounts to 16,889.
