Georgia reports 599 new cases of coronavirus, 7 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 22,532 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 20,307 antigen tests and 2,225 PCR tests.

 

Testing revealed 599 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,644,711.

 

As of March 23, the daily positive rate is 2.66%, for the last 14 days - 5.73% and for 7 days - 4.18%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 3,846 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,608,441. 7 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,688 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 599 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 287 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 19, Imereti - 72, Kvemo Kartli - 20, Shida Kartli - 36, Guria - 46, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 43, Kakheti - 41, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 10, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 5, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 20.

 

The number of active cases amounts to 19,556.
