Georgia reports 1,053 new cases of coronavirus, 7 deaths

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within intensive testing, 21,614 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 19,284 antigen tests and 2,330 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 1,053 newly confirmed cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours.

 

The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 1,643,295.

 

As for the positive rate, as of March 21, the daily positive rate is 4.87%, for the last 14 days - 7.19% and for 7 days - 4.78%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 2,067 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 1,601,578. There have been 7 new deaths from coronavirus. A total of 16,678 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 1,053 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 447 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 34, Imereti - 143, Kvemo Kartli - 37, Shida Kartli - 65, Guria - 84, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 99, Kakheti - 76, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 28, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 13, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 27.

 

The number of active cases amounts to 25,013.
