Georgia reports 1,543 new cases of coronavirus, 20 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of intensive testing, 13,873 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 10,859 antigen tests and 3,014 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 1,543 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,633,443.

 

As of March 10, the daily positive rate is 11.12%, for the last 14 days - 16.83% and for 7 days - 14.57%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 3,198 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,581,376. 20 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,505 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 1,543 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 718 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 56, Imereti - 228, Kvemo Kartli - 78, Shida Kartli - 65, Guria - 77, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 112, Kakheti - 109, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 44, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 23, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 33.

 

The number of active cases amounts to 35,536.
