Officers of the Investigation Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained 4 persons for producing and selling of fake passports, driving licenses and residence certificates of the Hellenic Republic.
As InterPressNews was informed by the press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the crime envisages from 3 to 6 years of imprisonment.
According to MIA, an investigation has established that the detainees used to produce fake passports, driving licenses and residence certificates of the Hellenic Republic and sold it for a financial benefit.
All the four citizens were detained in Tbilisi. They plead guilty. The Internal Affairs Ministry says that an investigation in in progress under Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia involving production, purchase, storage, sale or use of forged identity cards or other official documents.
