Poland ready to supply MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, but only within the framework of NATO

09.03.22 16:00

Poland is ready to supply MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, but only within the framework of NATO, Reuters reported, citing an adviser to the Polish President.

The announcement came after the United States rejected a Polish offer to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets.

As Jakub Kumoch, adviser to Andrzej Duda, states, the US does not want the planes to arrive in Ukraine from American bases. He says Poland is ready to act, but only within the framework of the NATO military alliance.

For the record, Poland said yesterday that it was ready to immediately and free of charge deploy all its MiG-29 fighter jets at the disposal of the US Air Force base in Ramstein and Washington, however, the Pentagon rejected the proposal.
