According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 7,733 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 5,281 antigen tests and 2,452 PCR tests.
As a result of the testing, 865 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,629,930.
As of March 8, the daily positive rate is 11.19%, for the last 14 days - 18.43% and for 7 days - 15.55%.
In the last 24 hours, 2,820 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,570,884. 26 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,456 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 865 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 430 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 24, Imereti - 115, Kvemo Kartli - 65, Shida Kartli - 46, Guria - 65, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 35, Kakheti - 57, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 7, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 11, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 10.
The number of active cases amounts to 42,564.
