Georgia and Iran Agree on Cargo Transportation Development

Georgia and Iran have achieved agreement on Persian Gulf-North transport corridor development. The information was released by land transport agency of Georgia.


This was one of the key issues at the meeting of the joint commission for international vehicle traffic. The meeting was held as part of the visit that the Transport Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran Adolhashen Hasan Nia paid to Georgia.

 

After the meeting the Parties signed minutes with focus on priority directions in land transport field. The document was signed by Deputy Economy Minister of Georgia Akaki Saghirashvili.

 

The Parties agreed to collaborate for developing the mentioned transport corridor and prepare a package of measures in this direction.

 

The parties also agreed cargo transportation for 2019-2020.
