Public Defender of Ukraine applies to Minister of Justice of Georgia to provide qualified psychological and physical rehabilitation to Mikheil Saakashvili

Public Defender of Ukraine Ludmila Denisova applied to Minister of Justice of Georgia Rati Bregadze with a request to provide qualified psychological and physical rehabilitation to Mikheil Saakashvili, a citizen of Ukraine, and to allow her to visit the prisoner in the Rustavi Penitentiary. The relevant information was posted by Denisova on Facebook after her meeting with Georgian MPs Levan Bezhashvili and Tamar Kordzaia.

 

According to her, at the meeting she expressed concern over the deterioration of Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition, which was confirmed by the Council of Physicians set up by the Public Defender of Georgia, Nino Lomjaria.

 

"I informed the Georgian MPs that I had appealed to the Minister of Justice of Georgia to take measures to ensure qualified psychological and physical rehabilitation for Mikheil Saakashvili, a citizen of Ukraine. I talked about my plans to visit Mikheil Saakashvili at the Rustavi Penitentiary next month. I also applied to the Minister of Justice of Georgia with a request for the relevant permit,” Denisova wrote.
