The Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules will consider the issue of termination of parliamentary mandate of Shalva Natelashvili and Elene Khoshtaria at the next sitting and will present its conclusion to the Parliament for a decision.
The issue of termination of powers for Natelashvili and Khoshtaria is on the agenda due to the clause of the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure, according to which, if a member of Parliament does not attend more than half of the sittings during the session due to invalid reasons, the term should be terminated.
"These two deputies did not attend any of the sittings of the autumn session. The issue of termination of their authority automatically arises. Naturally, the committee is obliged to consider the issue and submit the conclusion to the plenary sitting of the Parliament. The final decision will be made by the Parliament," said Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules.
At the same sitting of the Committee, the issue of termination of the mandate of Badri Japaridze, chairman of the faction Lelo-Partnership for Georgia, will be discussed.
In addition, the Committee on Procedural Issues will discuss the issue of termination of the term of office of the former Speaker of the Parliament Kakha Kuchava, who has already written a statement on quitting the Parliament.
