Defense and Security Committee to hold sitting

Representatives of the Intelligence Service and Defense Ministry provided MPs with information about global and regional security, facing threats and challenges, during the sitting of the parliamentary Defense and Security Committee on Friday.

 

Colonel Giorgi Bliadze, Head of the Military Intelligence Department of Georgian Defense Forces said that threats had to be identified to make a prognosis about feasible developments.

 

“I will focus on the hybrid threats that are taking place. It is in Russia’s nature to carry out synchronized actions in absolutely all directions – diplomatic, economic, military and information space. At this stage, we see disinformation campaign and propaganda against the West and in favour of Russia,” Bliadze said.
