Sportsman Jano Bagrationi dies at 83

Jano Bagrationi, a well-known sportsman, coach, and honorable president of the Georgian National Olympic Committee died at the age of 83.

 

He was the author of 18 scientific works and one monograph, an honorable Tbilisi citizen, Cavalry of Vakhtang Gorgasali Order.

 

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed condolence over Jano Bagrationi’s death.

 

“Jano Bagrationi secured many victories to Georgian sport. He cared about the training of young sportspersons for decades. He was an exemplary citizen for friends, colleagues, and youngsters,” PM said.
