The number of foreign visitors in December 2021 went up by 226.4% year-on-year, the National Tourism Administration reported.
Based on the annual report, a total of 82,850 international visits were carried out in 2021 among them 76,818 by air, 526 by sea, and 574 by railway.
The top-10 countries include Turkey, Armenia, Russia, Georgia (non-resident), Israel, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, India, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines.
Tourism National Administration said that Georgia’s received revenues from tourism in 2021 amounted to USD 1,244,941,716.
