According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 58,109 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 34,115 antigen tests and 23,994 PCR tests.
As a result of the testing, 5,596 cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 973,909.
As of January 11, the daily rate of positive is 9.63%, for the last 14 days - 8.51% and for 7 days - 9.79%.
In the last 24 hours, 2,946 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 919,367.
47 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 14,311 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 5,596 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 3,180 cases reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 638, Imereti - 563, Kvemo Kartli - 173, Shida Kartli - 270, Guria - 135, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 219, Kakheti - 184, Mtskheta - Mtianeti-102, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 99, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -33.
