The Department of Roads will carry out rehabilitation of 10 streets in Kutaisi.
According to the Roads Department, five streets are being rehabilitated in Kutaisi.
“Works are carried out on the 1.4 km of Javakhishvili, 0.3 km of Shartava, 0.7 km of Bukhaidze, 1.3 km of Ninoshvili and 1.9 km of Gugunava. The total cost of these projects is 9 474 400 GEL. The rehabilitation works will be completed by the end of 2019.
Current works, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Chairman of Roads Department Irakli Karseladze Kutaisi Mayor Giorgi Chighvaria was introduced in the place.
Work is planned to start on 5 additional streets this year: 3km Aghmashenebeli, 2.8km Tsereteli, 1.5km Freedom, 0.3km Sayatnova and 2.7km connecting Nikea Street and Sulkhan-Saba Avenue. The estimated total cost of the planned projects is GEL 18 million.
As part of the rehabilitation of Kutaisi streets, asphalt-concrete pavement will be rehabilitated, artificial structures will be rehabilitated, culverts, sidewalks, sidewalks and road signs will be constructed.
After the rehabilitation is completed, the existing problems will be resolved, road users and local residents will be able to move in a more refurbished and comfortable way, ”the Roads Department said.
