According to Geostat, in January-June 2019, construction permits have increased

According to official data, 4991 permits were issued in Georgia in January-June 2019 (1.0 percent more than in the same period of the previous year) for the construction of 3520.9 thousand square meters (17.5 percent more than in the same period of the previous year).

 

71.6 percent of permits come from three regions of the country. Specifically, 48.8 percent of the construction work to be carried out in the city. In Tbilisi, 11.7 percent - in Kvemo Kartli region and 1.1 percent - in Ajara AR:

 

It is noteworthy that in January-June 2019, permits were issued for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, hotels, shopping malls, industrial enterprises, agricultural buildings and other buildings.

 

Multifunctional residential complexes represent a relatively large share of permits issued.
