Georgia reports 2,514 new cases of coronavirus, 61 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 46,059 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 26,700 antigen tests and 19,359 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 2,514 new cases of virus infection were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 930,544.

 

As of December 28, the daily positive rate is 5.46%, for the last 14 days - 5.65% and for 7 days - 5.09%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 2,711 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 890,733. 61 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 13,707 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 2,514 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,226 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 232, Imereti - 304, Kvemo Kartli - 119, Shida Kartli - 108, Guria - 114, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 148, Kakheti - 134, Mtskheta - Mtianeti -62, Samtskhe-Javakheti -46, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -21.
