Georgia reports 2,739 new cases of coronavirus, 52 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 45,153 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 28,160 antigen tests and 16,993 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 2,739 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 916,477.

 

As of December 21, the daily positive rate is 6.07%, for the last 14 days - 6.58% and for 7 days - 6.19%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 3,072 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 869,411. 52 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 13,221 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 2,739 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,246 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 204, Imereti - 437, Kvemo Kartli - 120, Shida Kartli - 174, Guria - 99, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 184, Kakheti - 147, Mtskheta - Mtianeti-66, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 50, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -12.
