The Georgian economy grew by 6.9% in October, and the economy grew by a total of 10.5% in 10 months, - the Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, said at a meeting of the Georgian government.

As he noted, the budget forecasts have been adjusted and the current year’s economic growth has increased from 9.5% to 10%.

"After 10% growth, the next year is expected to be quite high - 6% economic growth - and it is important that the average economic growth in 2022-2025 will also be high, within 5.5%. Our steps will be aimed at further improving these indicators.

The total volume of the country's economy will exceed GEL 65 billion next year, which means that the GDP per capita will be more than $ 5,500, and this is a significant increase in this direction. It is also important that at the same time we reduce both the debt and the deficit. The deficit in the already submitted budget has been reduced to 4.2%, while the debt has been reduced by almost 9 percentage points - from 60% to 51%. Part of the state budget revenues is set at 19.362 million GEL and has increased by 336 million GEL compared to the previous submission," - said Lasha Khutsishvili.
