3 persons arrested on charges of violence and resistance to police during November 29 rally in front of Tbilisi City Court

On November 29, the officers of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 3 persons on charges of physical resistance to police and violence in the vicinity of the Tbilisi City Court.

 

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the same day, another person, B.T., born in 1974, was arrested on charges of resisting police officer and using violence.

 

The offence carries a maximum sentence of 2 to 5 years in prison.

 

The investigation revealed that on November 29 of this year, during the protest rally in front of the Tbilisi City Court, the defendants did not obey the lawful request of the police. Defendant B.T. attacked a patrol police officer, knocked him down and verbally and physically assaulted him.
