Obligation for market traders to use cash registers to be postponed for another year, until January 1, 2023

30.11.21 10:40

The obligation for market traders to use cash registers will be postponed for another year - this time until January 1, 2023.

The planned amendments to the "Tax Code" will be considered and adopted by the Parliament in the near future.

Recent changes in the tax legislation in this regard have determined that from January 1, 2022, a natural person trading in the market area was obliged to use a cash register when delivering goods.

As we read in the project explanation card, some preparation and relevant work was required for the enactment of the law within this period, however, the situation created by the global pandemic in the country required additional time to carry out the work and it became necessary to postpone the enactment of the law to January 1, 2023.
