It is of paramount importance to ensure the health and safety of Mr. Saakashvili, which is the responsibility of the authorities, - said French Ambassador to Georgia, Diego Colas.

 

“Several concerns have been expressed by various parties. The authorities are concerned about the integrity of the system, the friends of Mr. Saakashvili are concerned about the dignity of Mr. Saakashvili. All prisoners have the right to dignity, including former presidents. So these are very legitimate concerns. And I think it will be very important at this stage to consult widely and to find creative solutions”, said the Ambassador.
