The Strasbourg Court rejected Saakashvili's application for his transfer to a private clinic and urged him to call off his hunger strike, - reads the statement released by the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze.

According to the Minister, the Government must provide the European Court of Human Rights with information on the applicant's health and safety by 24 November 2021.

"The Government of Georgia was informed by a letter from the Strasbourg Court of 10 November 2021 that on the same date Mikheil Saakashvili's representatives had appealed to the European Court of Human Rights to immediately transfer Mikheil Saakashvili from Medical Facility №18 to a multi-profile civil clinic.

The Strasbourg court did not grant the applicant's above request and urged the applicant party to call off the hunger strike.

The Government of Georgia must provide the European Court with information on the applicant's health and safety by November 24, 2021,” Bregadze said.
