Partly collapsed residential building in Batumi to be fully dismantled

The residential building on 26 May Street in Batumi, one block of which has collapsed, will be completely dismantled, - Batumi City Hall said.

 

According to them, the surrounding buildings will be inspected in stages.

 

"The transfer of apartments will be negotiated with citizens. After negotiations with the affected residents, the City Hall will take appropriate measures, I mean allocating a housing fund or building a house. At this stage, we are considering to offer them apartments. Funds have already been mobilized in the reserve fund," the City Hall said.

 

The residential building on 26 May Street in Batumi collapsed on October 8, leaving 9 people dead, including 3 minors. The Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 3 people in connection with the above.
