From today, the learning process has resumed in classrooms and classrooms.

 

Preschools and children's entertainment centers will also resume work.

 

According to the Ministry of Education, all public and private schools in Georgia are ready to start studying in school buildings.

 

According to the agency, all the recommendations developed by the Ministry of Health will be strictly followed in the schools, which will ensure the prevention of the virus and access to quality education.

 

"The Ministry has completed not only equipping public schools with hygienic facilities, but also improving school infrastructure.

 

In particular, organized by the LEPL Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry, general education institutions are provided with appropriate disinfectant solutions, towels, thermoscreening devices and disinfection barriers. Provide resources for virus prevention for schools throughout the school year.

 

 

For the new school year, the construction of 64 new public schools in Tbilisi and the regions has already been completed and 64 public schools have also been fully rehabilitated. Toilets are organized and maintained in schools. The construction-rehabilitation process continues in a continuous mode. Infrastructure works are carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

 

For the new school year, 100 public schools in Georgia were equipped with new school equipment (desks, chairs, school boards, etc.) as needed. Medical rooms were additionally provided in 60 public schools, and soon an additional 142 public schools will be equipped with the necessary equipment for a medical room.

 

Also, according to the need, public schools will be provided with projectors in 2 stages.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, students in Tbilisi and the regions will still be provided with transport.

 

With the support of the Ministry, all public school students are provided with books and notebooks within the framework of the "Student and Teacher Textbooks Program". Under this program, school mobility will continue to be provided, taking into account student mobility.

 

Within the framework of the program "My First Computer", the first-graders of the Georgian public school and their tutors will receive laptops.

 

From the new school year, an electronic journal will be fully introduced in schools, which will help teachers to electronically record both student attendance and assessment.

 

The Ministry of Education and Science still gives parents the opportunity to choose the form of distance learning, while risk group teachers can, if they wish, conduct lessons remotely.

 

In case of attendance, students, including grades I-XII, will be required to wear a headband, and the state will still provide mandatory teacher testing (67% of teachers and school administrators are vaccinated at this stage).

 

Teleschool's highly important, internationally recognized project, which is one of the most prominent distance learning methods, will continue to operate for students.

 

Due to safety, the school administration will intensively inform the parents about the organization of the educational process and the sanitary-hygienic norms in the school. The Ministry will continue to monitor schools systematically.

 

It is also noteworthy that the schools where the polling stations were located for the October 2 elections were completely disinfected in the classrooms before the resumption of the educational process, ”the statement reads.
