According to a World Bank study, Georgia ranked 45th out of 189 countries in terms of "corruption control" and 19th in the top 20 in Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at a briefing at the government administration.

The Prime Minister noted that according to Freedom House , Georgia ranked 11th among the countries surveyed in terms of freedom from corruption. According to a global poll by The Gallup Organization , Georgia ranks 14th in Europe's top 24 platoon free of corruption among the world's 122 economies.
"I want to start with the information that has just been published, this is a World Bank study on the assessment of world governance and indicators , which summarizes the analysis of dozens of research centers and international organizations. I would like to tell our society about this, that Georgia has really made significant progress and progress in this direction. According to this report, Georgia has a leading and exemplary position in Europe and around the world in terms of "corruption control" and good governance. To be more specific, according to "Corruption Control", Georgia ranked 45th out of 189 countries in the top 50 countries. And is in the 19th place in the best platoon in Europe.
It should be noted that Georgia has already been included in the mentioned top platoon for the fourth time in a row. For comparison, I would like to say that in the study published in 2012, Georgia was in 62nd place. Naturally, our country was positioned behind the best platoon in Europe. In addition, I would like to say that our country is ahead of 10 EU member states in terms of corruption control - the Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Cyprus, Malta, Croatia, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria. Also, ahead of the European Overseas part of the countries, such as Ireland, the United Kingdom, Iceland and several advanced European state.
Georgia is ahead of 14 NATO member states in "corruption control". I would also like to tell you that our country is a leader in the region, while in the post-Soviet space it is ahead only of the Baltic countries. As for freedom from corruption, I would like to tell you that according to Freedom House , Georgia ranked 11th among the countries surveyed in terms of freedom from corruption. I will also tell you that according to the global poll of The Gallup Organization , Georgia is ranked 14th among the 122 economies in the world in terms of freedom from corruption in Europe, "- said Irakli Gharibashvili.
